It’s like a breath of fresh air to hear Guru again after all this time. Premier is always premier and never lets anyone down of course. Cole was the perfect choice for a feature and maneuvers through the track with various melodies in his flow to give it an up to date sound. Guru’s chorus is straight to the point because the concept is real. Diamonds are forever like family and loyalty. Then referencing classic songs like C.R.E.A.M and My Melody. He kicks off the track with the first verse and ends with the last verse each true to the classic Gang starr sound. This track takes me back and brings me into the future at the same time with a true respect for the art form itself.
